We Have A Winner.... And Asian Baby Girl Shower Centerpieces!

While I have you here, I wanted to share the centerpieces I made for an Asian themed baby shower I hosted at work. We decorated our conference room in over the top Asian and had an assorted buffet of Asian foods for lunch. The husband and wife work in our office and they are so sweet. They are also "out of the box" thinkers so an Asian themed baby shower suited them nicely. Now we have to wait another 6 to 7 weeks to meet sweet baby Sophie!!

Christmas In July at Custom Crops

I used brads on the Snowman to represent the coal buttons.


The Ornament is accented with silver paper trim - isn't it nice on the topper and the scrolling detail?


The Christmas Tree was accented with different colors of the stickles. I thought the stickles represented the tree lights.


And finally the Joy tag; I love the joy tag! I just love the word JOY!

A few days back our very sexy Mallika Sherawat was invited to Twitter office in San Francisco. The lady was the only Bollywood actress to enjoy a huge fan base on the social networking site Twitter. Now she faces tough competition from her contemporary Priyanka Chopra who has just joined Twitter.

Currently, if Mallika Sherawat has around 9,446 fans, Priyanka Chopra boasts of around 13,452 followers. It’s a record of sorts as the actress is just a month old on Twitter and has gained tremendous popularity ever since. If Mallika introduces herself as Bollywood diva on Twitter, Priyanka has status message “DA REAL DEAL”.

According to media reports it was Shahid Kapur, who asked Priyanka to join Twitter. Earlier, both the stars were Facebook pals and their wall-to-wall scribbling was grabbing a lot of media attention. As a source reveals, Priyanka is quite addicted to Twitter now and posts all the recent day-to-day happenings, as well as her thoughts on the site. One of her latest post says, “back to pyaar impossible sets... feels like im back home.. last schedule.. :( one of those days where i question life.. hmmm..”

But it’s strange that the actress is not using the platform to promote her next release Kaminey. She is just mentioning about her whereabouts and twittering with her fellow tinselville tweeple like Uday Chopra and also Gul Panag.

For this desi girl the world of social networking is very exciting, she is also a gadget freak and loves interacting with her fans through web without any fear of being mobbed in the virtual world. Nowadays, she also likes clicking pictures at events and also personal ones. Recently at an event she took pictures of the mediapersons and also of her mom and bro, which are available especially for her tweeps on Twitter.

Kareena Kapoor endorsed a jewellery brand

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor endorsed a jewellery brand here on Monday.
Top models sashayed down the ramp dressed as the bride and the groom, at a fashion show organized to mark the occasion.

Talking to media, Kapoor denied speculation of a possible marriage with her boyfriend, actor Saif Ali Khan.

"As of now, I don't have any plan for marriage, at least for two years now. If I have any plans I will let you (the media) now of my plans," she said.
The jewellery brand, which Kapoor endorsed, was meant for the young bride.a

Valentina Lisitsa

Valentina Lisitsa is a recent discovery for me, but I'm already enthusastic about her piano-playing. Okay, I admit that the very first video I saw of her, in which she was playing Fur Elise, I was slightly unsure of the correct opinion to entertain. She delivered a brilliant performance, no arguing that, the dynamics were marvelous, perfect legatos, and plenty of feeling. If I closed my eyes and just listened, than she delivered one of the best executions out there. But there was something with the way she sat, so hunched, moving so much, that bothered me. Hence the confusion.
Many Rachmainoff and some Beethoven concertos later, the scale tipped all the way and I became a huge fan. With a talent as huge as hers minor things like posture don't matter.
That woman has a handle on Rachmainoff like few other pianists. When she plays "Little Red Riding Hood", it's almost like the wolf is chasing you too. She's also absolutly great with Beethoven, but there she has Daniel Barenboim to contend with.
So if you don't know who she is, run here, like now, and pay attention.
This is the real shit.

When Regina assigned this weeks Bitten by the Bug challenge cut, the man and woman, I immediately thought of the restroom door signs.


I cut the man and woman in three colors: light blue, white, and black as well as the shadow cut. I used scissors and trimmed the black and white cuts into the clothing shapes. I used a piece of ribbon as the veil, and added stickles to create an overall bridal dress shimmer.

Megan Fox is a Marketing Genius

When Transformers 2 was making the rounds, Megan Fox traveled throughout the world looking sexy. Now she's promoting her new film Jennifer's Body, and also doing the sexy thing - but this time with her words, which is way better - if you're blind and they're translated to braille. Otherwise, she really needs to start stripping.

"I think I'm pretty sexy in it," the actress, 23, said at the Comic-Con press conference for the movie (out Sept. 18). "The movie is SO sexy! You better put on your sexy shoes for this movie!"

In the film, in which Fox eats people, "there's sort of a hint of, a little bit of a lesbian relationship that happens. There's a girl-on-girl kiss. And beyond that, before every kill there is a seduction that occurs," Fox continues. "The boys have to be seduced to get in close enough to the dead girl in order for her to devour them."

She doesn't mind freaking out an audience.

Gee about time! How long has it been since I posted pictures on this blog anyway? Yeah I know, I have an evil tendency of getting you all worked up by promising pictures that never show up, but I plan to change that. Also, my beloved desktop has no card reader, so to post pics, I'm forced to use my mommy's laptop. Today was a draining day. First, I get to do animation for the Red Cross all morning in the swealtering heat, and then get back to help make tomato sauce on an industrial scale. The fact that I thought of you today should bring tears to your eyes.

Paris Hilton: 'Michael Jackson named his daughter after me'

While attending the premiere of her MTV documentary Paris, Not France (above), Paris Hilton revealed to Extra that Michael Jackson's daughter was named after her:

"My mom and Michael went to high school together and they were best friends since they were 13," Paris explains. "So I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me. So he asked my mom if it was okay and of course she said yes and I think she's such a beautiful little girl and I'm proud we have the same name."

I don't know about you guys, but this is probably the most fucked up thing I've heard about Michael Jackson. Ever. I could find out I have repressed memories of him molesting me as a child, and I'd still be saying "Wait. He named his daughter after who now?"

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone says that her inspiration in a relationship is parents’ love story.

Deepika says, “I have always looked at my parents’ as the perfect love story. Despite having differences, through mutual love and commitment, their marriage has been successful.

The actress is quite excited about her next coming movie Love Aaj Kal. When asked about the memorable moments of the film she says, “One of them would be the song sequence (Chor Bazaar) in Delhi.”

She adds, “There was a time in earlier decades when singing and dancing on top of a car were common. These days they are no longer in vogue, but the director wanted to have a song sequence on a moving taxi rooftop in Delhi!”

Deepika says further, “Needless to say, Saif and I had to oblige despite not being very comfortable. People in the city were quite surprised and wondering what we were up to. But now when I see the song on screen, it is looking pretty nice.”

Lindsay Lohan thought Mischa Barton partied too hard?

In the wake of Mischa Barton's 5150 hold last week, it turns out Lindsay Lohan, who single-nosedly kept Colombia on the map during her entire working career, tried to warn her clubbing buddy that she was out of control. FOX 411 reports:

Lake Weekend Brought Christmas in July

I had a wonderful time at Lake Murray last weekend with my scrapping girl fiends: "My friend Kathy", Beth, Sally, Peggy, Suzanne, and Pat. We were one busy bunch of scrappers! I actually only completed four scrap pages, but that was because I was focused on Christmas in July! I made 24 Christmas Cards (eight each of three styles), and 18 sets of gift tags to give as gifts at work. Somehow I feel like I am ahead of schedule now.

The one of the two double page spreads I created was of my daughter and her friends as they were preparing for the annual Steeplechase event this spring. I found this dress paper at Scrap Your Trip and just loved it. I thought it was perfect for these photographs.



As I stated above, I made three different Christmas card designs. I actually cannot decide which design I like best. The first design consists of a circular Merry Christmas stamp, stamped on smooth white card stock and cut with a nestie. It is mounted on a larger nestie and has a pop package in the middle. I used Basic Grey paper and off white cards.



The second design utilizes one of last year's purchases, this beautiful Christmas tree stamp from Stampin' Up. It too was stamped on smooth white card stock and mounted on a nestie cut. The background paper was purchased at Michael's, and I cannot recall the company.



The final of my three cards grew out of a mistake. I had planned to make bag toppers and accidentally cut them too small. So I decided to use the light blue cuts as backgrounds for stamping. I used the same Christmas tree and mounted the tag on navy card stock stamped with white snow flakes.



I wish I could show you my tags, but they must wait.
